The Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Caretaker Chairman, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael who was ably represented by the Local Government Area Secretary, Hon Oyenibi Omojola Sunday (Ajon) has inaugurated the Kabba-Bunu Special Hunters Squad for full operations at the Council Chamber, today.
The Kabba-Bunu LGA commenced the issuance of appointment letters to newly recruited Special Hunters Squad.
Hon Oyenibi Omojola Sunday, while inaugurating the hunters squad, charged the members of the Kabba-Bunu Special Hunters Squad to work more so that the peace and order being experienced in the local government area can continue.
The secretary made these declarations while inaugurating the Kabba-Bunu Special Hunters Squad on Wednesday.
Also, speaking during the inauguration, the Chief of Staff to the caretaker chairman, Hon Emmanuel Aiyeditan said that the newly recruited hunters had “the right set of people that will continue to walk on the path of sustainable development and on the path of cooperation with other security agencies within the local government area.”
He commended the officers and men of the squad for contributing to the security and order experienced in the local government in the last few months.
Omojola added, “We know that security is strongly linked to the development of any community. In fact, one of the core reasons why we witnessed accelerated development is because the Kogi State Government worked along with other security agencies to keep our state secure.
“They recorded huge successes in stopping kidnappings, motor-bike snatching, burglaries, illegal mining and fraud.
Speaking during the exercise, the Supervisor for Health and Primary Care, Hon (Princess) Grace Omowumi expressed profound appreciation to the present administration for the recruitment, saying that it will contribute immensely in securing lives and property of the Kabba-Bunu LGA residents.
She explained that the new entrants have shown the desire and zeal to join the pool of productive and efficient gallant officers across the local government area, observing that “this set of successful candidates have gone through the required screening process, oral interviews and psychological training where they have been found eligible for the role”.
While congratulating the newly employed hunters, the local government secretary encouraged them to give their best to the profession and ultimately be good role models for all.
Also speaking, the council DSO, Mr David Olorunleke emphasised the present administration’s focus on ensuring that citizens across the State get the best hands to secure our communities and make it more safe for our people.
Those in attendance are; Supervisor for Agricultural and Natural resources, Hon Rufus Eniolorunda; Supervisor for Budget and Planning, Hon Ojo Olayinka; Supervisor for Education, Hon Ojo Gunwa; LGA DSO, Mr David Olorunleke and all the political aides to the Caretaker Chairman.
