Ekinrin-Adde Day 2024: Engr. Shola Aribido Bags Distinguished Community Development Service Award

A successful Agricultural Engineer, Engr. Shola Aribido has been named as a recipient of the 2024 edition of Distinguished Community Development Service Award at Ekinrin-Adde Awards-Night scheduled to hold on the 21st of June 2024.

This was disclosed by the National Publicity Secretary of Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA), Adewale Victor Adekanye.

Engr. Shola S. Aribido was born to Mr. Gabriel B. Aribido and Mrs. Esther F. Aribido (Nee Olorunjuwon) both of Ohi and Otun clan of Ekinrin Community, Ekinrin-Adde in Ijumu Local government Area of Kogi State, towards the Mid-70s.

He had his early Education both Primary and secondary schools in the same town of Ekinrin-Adde after which he proceeded to Samaru College of Agriculture, ABU, Zaria, where he obtained a National Diploma certificate in Agricultural Engineering in 1996. He proceeded to bag his HND degree in Agricultural Engineering from The Federal Polytechnic, Bida in the year 2000. He enrolled for his Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Management Science and MBA degree from Kaduna state Polytechnic and University of Ilorin respectively in the year 2005 and 2013

With nearly 30 years of work experience, he has a diverse background that cuts across agrochemicals sales, public health management, personnel management, crop protection, agricultural consultancy, training, business development, Procurement and supply of agro commodities. His career has taken him across the country and beyond.

His diligence and commitment to duty earned him a slot as one of the Nigerian Professionals delegated to Training of Trainer (TOT) on:
Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS), Spray Service Providers (SSP) which covers pests control in public health, agricultural pesticides management, and administration for crops and environmental protection in Ghana, in 2009 and 2012 respectively

He served as Training Consultant for International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), Crop LIFE, and other professional bodies and international organizations in the agricultural input, agro commodities and public health sectors

He acquired Professional certifications in most of his career engagements.

His unwavering commitment to community service earned him a place as a Cultural Ambassador of the Ekinrin -Adde Community.

Engr. Shola Aribido currently works as Aggregation Manager (Agro Raw Materials), Southern, Nigeria with Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

He is a philanthropist who has leveraged his career influence to facilitate employment for many people from his community and across Nigeria in any organization he pursues his career.

As one of the foremost community development champions, he has been instrumental to aiding the community through infrastructural development and supporting indigents and youth. He consistently contributes to community progress by providing valuable suggestions for initiatives aimed at moving the community forward.

He’s happily married to his Heartthrob Omowumi Ann Eniwaye-Aribido and the marriage is blessed with Lovely Children.
