In a recent development, the Caretaker Chairman of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Barr. Dare Zacchaeus, has appealed to all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and citizens of the local government not to be swayed by a malicious publication aimed at causing division within the party.

The publication in question was a reaction against a condolence message issued by the CTC over the tragic demise of a party faithful, Late Tope Ayodele.

The Caretaker Chairman is quoted as stating that he initially did not feel the need to respond to a recent publication about an accident involving a member of the party, as he believed it did not warrant a dignified response. However, he made the decision to address the situation for the benefit of the citizens who may not have been aware of the details of the incident, in order to set the record straight on what actually transpired.

He expressed disappointment in certain individuals who had not properly briefed the Caretaker Committee (CTC) or the party before making claims about the accident. The party was not informed that a member of the All Progressives Congress APC was involved in any accident, neither was the CTC informed. Rather, it was one Mr. Segun Arokoyo who called that his staff was involved in an accident. According to the information available, the accident victims were initially taken to Kabba General Hospital where medical experts recommended further treatment at a higher hospital in Lokoja. However, due to the careless actions of those responsible for the victims’ care, they were taken to a traditional medical center instead of following the doctors’ advice.

The Caretaker Chairman highlighted the fact that if the victims had been taken to Lokoja as advised, the tragic death that occurred as a result of the accident may have been prevented. He expressed his sorrow over the situation and emphasized the importance of ensuring that individuals receive the appropriate medical attention in such circumstances. He also condemned the tendency to engage in a blame game rather than focusing on providing the necessary support and care for those affected by the accident.

Barr. Zacchaeus pointed out that the publication was the result of a selfish failed ambition of an individual who is still grappling with a past loss and is now using this unfortunate event to vent anger.

“It is unfortunate that this individual is trying to exploit the pain of our loss to further their own selfish agenda,” said Barr. Zacchaeus.

“We must not allow such myopic minded individuals to sow seeds of discord within our party. We are a family, and we must continue to stand united in the face of adversity.”

The CTC emphasized that the welfare of the citizens of Kabba-Bunu Local Government remains his top priority, and they will not be distracted by these divisive tactics.

He urged all good and Progressive members of the party to disregard the publication and continue to work together for the betterment of the community.

The Caretaker Chairman urged all parties involved to refrain from engaging in further blame games and instead focus on allowing the soul of the deceased to rest in peace. He emphasized the need for unity and cooperation in times of crisis, rather than pointing fingers and casting blame. By clarifying the events surrounding the accident and advocating for responsible and compassionate actions moving forward, he hoped to bring closure to the unfortunate incident.

In conclusion, Barr. Zacchaeus offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased and called for unity and solidarity within the party and the local government as a whole.

The CTC remains resolute in his commitment to serving the people of Kabba-Bunu and will not be deterred by the actions of a few dissenters.
