NUJ Federated Chapel Gets New Exco In Kogi

The Publisher of the Nigerian Post Newspaper, Mr. Mike Abu has been elected as the Chairman of Federated Chapel, of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Kogi State Council.

The election and inauguration was supervised and conducted by the Vice Chairman of the state council under the chairmanship of Comrade Sheidu Ademu which took place on July 15th, 2024 at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre, behind Muhahammadu Buhari Civic Centre, Lokoja as prominent publishers and members of the chapel were in attendance.

After the conduct of the election, the Vice Chairman, Comrade Ibrahim Obansa used the medium to advise the new executive members to take the chapel to the next level, he administered the oath of office on Mr. Mike Abu and other members of the executives.

He appreciated the efforts of the chairman of the credentials committee, Amuda Dan Suleman and members for a job well done. He however advised the new executive members to work together in unity as to achieve success.

He expressed confidence in the newly elected chairman to lead the Chapel to an enviable height.

Earlier in his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated Chairman, Mr. Mike Abu said he would stop at nothing to fast track growth of the chapel and to promote the welfare of members.

Other executive members are, Gabriel Olayemi, Treasurer; Deborah Agbonika Secretary; Musa Tanimu Nasidi, Vice Chairman and Odimayo Olatunde as Asst. Secretary.
