A coalition group in Kabba, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi state has declared support for the incumbent caretaker chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael to continue as the elected chairman of the headquarters of Kogi West Senatorial district for more gains of democracy.
The coalition group, in a statement signed by its coordinator, Mr Ayodele Toba Timothy aka Grassroot and made available to newsmen said there is no vacancy for the position of the executive chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, urging those who are nursing the ambition under the ruling All Progressives Congress to put their ambition aside and declare support for Hon. ((Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael to be able to continue with his good work which they noted he has achieve in his short journey in office as caretaker chairman.
The coalition group appeal to the All Progressives Congress leaders in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area to give their maximum support for the caretaker chairman for the interest and stability of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.
The coalition group appeal to those who have issues with the caretaker chairman to settle with the caretaker chairman, noting that most of the issues they have with the caretaker chairman are personal issues which has nothing to do with group or community interest which the statement noted is the priority of the caretaker chairman since assumption of office.
“This is not the time to be running up and down under the guise of conducting primary election to elect candidate for our beloved party, APC, as such coming up at this time would lead to acrimony, politics of vendetta, malicious display and political crisis which may hinder the peace, progress, development and unity that we all enjoy in our beloved APC in particular and Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area at large.
The group commended the executive Governor of Kogi state, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his transformative and results oriented leadership display which spread across the nooks and crannies of Kogi state, while appealing to kogites to continue to support the programmes and policies of the Governor for the overall development of the state.
