A former member, Kogi state House of Assembly and stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Hon. Alfred Bello has described the action of Kogi youths for not joining the on-going EndBadGovernance protest being witnessed in most part of the country as an evidence of good governance and leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in Kogi state.
The former lawmaker made this known while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja on Sunday, enjoined all other states to emulate the good governance in kogi state under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
“You see, the NO to protest in Kogi state was a clear demonstration of good governance by the governor and the consolidated security architecture established in the state by the leader and architect of modern Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello who has continue to demonstrate his support for the President before, during and after the election till date.
“There is no other way other than what we have seen now that Kogi state can demonstrate support and solidarity to the President of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration than this turbulent period in the life of his administration when protest are going on across the nation with no protest in Kogi state. I hope and pray that the President will reciprocate this laudable and commendable efforts by giving the state his support so that Kogi state can live in peace and free from all form of distractions, including EFCC harassment that could be a hindrance to the development, peace and progress of the state.
“Let me use this opportunity to congratulate our results oriented Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, who has being doing all within his capacity to continue to put smile on the faces of kogites and the former governor, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, Kogi state Commissioner of police, all the security agencies in the state, the state security Adviser, Cmdr. Jerry Omodara, APC stalwarts and kogites in general for the peace, progress and development we all enjoy in our beloved Kogi state
Hon. Alfred Bello appeal to the people of Kogi state to keep on having trust in Kogi state government by supporting the programmes and policies of the present administration under the leadership of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo whom he noted has demonstrated a burning desire to take kogi state to a greater heights.
The former lawmaker commended Kogi state government’s effective and proactive response to get the kidnapped Kabba/Bunu caretaker Chairman rescued within 24hrs of his kidnapped and prayed for speedy released of others who are still in the captivity.
