Chief Olusegun Joseph Areh, the Obadofin designate was born on 15 May, 1961 into the family of Chief Daniel Usman Jagbemi Areh (Obanesa Osabu- ewo suwaju) of the Obanakin family, Okelepa Odolu Kabba.
A direct descendant of the great Obajana Egun l’odolu Balaja.
He was born in Agonmo quarters in the family house beside the ancient Ose tree (Idi Ose).
The Obadofin designate attended Saint Andrew Primary School Kabba from 1966 to 1972 in the first set of primary 6 finalists.
He proceeded to Zaria for secondary education at Kufena College Wusasa Zaria and finished in 1979.
He attended Katsina College of Arts, Science and Technology (KCAST) Zaria 1979 – 1981 for IJMB and thereafter to University of Sokoto now Uthman Danfodiyo University and graduated with BSc (Hon) in Economics 1987.
Chief Areh served the nation (NYSC 1988) in Elf Oil Marketing Ltd Port Harcourt Rivers State. He was retained after his service year to continue as a permanent staff in view of brilliance shown and dedication to duty even as a Youth Corper.
He enrolled and did Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing at the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus 1997.
Obadofin designate has cognate and robust experience in Midstream and Downstream Oil and Gas industry spanning 35 years.
He worked in Elf Oil and Total Oil Nig. Plc now Total Energies in various positions and designations: Sales Representative, Lube Marine Officer, Business Development Manager, District Sales Manager (Enugu), Special Products Manager, Aviation Operations Manager and finally as Operations Liaison Manager.
He has national and international corporate exposure.
Upon meritorious exit from Total Oil, he teamed up with two ex-Total staff colleagues to venture into Human Capital Development and Consulting in Oil and Gas Midstream, Downstream and Maritime operations.

His hobbies are Reading ( Classical, Africa and Europe Renaissance and Autobiographies), Chess, Table Tennis.
Obadofin designate Segun Areh is a true believer and adherent of Owe tradition and ethos.
Well blended and detribalised Nigerian, has transversed all nooks and crannies of the country and beyond. Besides his native Owe language, he speaks Hausa and Yoruba fluently but understands Igbo passably.
He is married and blessed with two biological children among many other children.
