As Kogi State conducts its local government council elections today, Engr. John Ibisagba, a new entrant to the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed confidence in the party’s success as he hailed the arrangements made by both the Party and the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) for the peaceful conduct of the election.
Speaking with media men who were on election monitoring at Unit 004 of Olle-Okeofin ward in Olle-Bunu, Engr. Ibisagba stated that this election marks his first as a member of the APC, and he can already adjudge it to be a perfect arrangement that has led to a peaceful voting process.
“The electorates are eager to vote, which is evident in the massive turnout we are seeing at this unit. I am confident that the APC will come out victorious in this election, and both our chairmanship candidate and councilors will emerge victorious,” he stated.
As voters lined up to cast their ballots, Engr. Ibisagba emphasized the importance of peaceful elections and urged all parties to respect the outcome of the election, regardless of the results.
With high optimism in the air and a strong turnout at polling units across the state, all eyes are on the final results as the people of Kogi State exercise their civic duty and choose their leaders for the next term.
