The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Bashiru Gegu has described late Abubakar Tanko who passed on in Lokoja as an obedient and loyal follower of Former Governor Yahaya Bello and Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo.
This is as the Commissioner has promised to provide support to the wives and the deceased seven children through the payment of their school fees.
Engr. Bashiru made the disclosure in a statement issued to Newsmen, described the death of late Abubakar Tanko as painful and sudden.
In his words, Tanko’s death is painful to us but inevitable. We will take solace in the almighty Allah’s decree of “Kulli Nafsin Zaikatul Maut” meaning that every soul must taste death.
The Commissioner prayed that may Allah grant him aljannah firdausi and grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
