BREAKING! Oodua Progressives Forum of FUAHS, Enugu inaugurates Pioneer Executives to promote unity and progress

In a bid to foster unity and promote the interests of its members, the Oodua Progressives Forum of Federal University of Allied Health Sciences Enugu (FUAHSE) recently inaugurated its Pioneer Executives to take charge of managing the affairs of the forum.

The executive committee, which emerged from an election conducted by the Electoral Committee headed by Dr. Sikiru as the chairman, comprises of Mr. Adekunle Adeoye Solomon as Chairman, Dr. Afolarin Olawale Atere as Vice Chairman, Mr. Adewale Kolawole Idowu as Secretary, Mr. Olagoke Sunday Osunrinde as Treasurer, Dr. Taiye Oyedepo as Financial Secretary, Mrs. Rebecca Ronke Taiwo as Director of Welfare, Mr. Sunday Ademola Emaye as Director of Social, Mr. Olufemi Fazal Oni as PRO, and Engr. Emmanuel Emola Ogunmoriti as Assistant Secretary.

During the inauguration ceremony, the members of the Electoral Committee presented the certificate of return to the Exco and charged them to promote unity among the university community, particularly among the Yoruba-speaking tribe in the university.

The Chairman of the Oodua Progressives Forum Electoral Committee OPEC, Dr. Sikiru Akomolafe Oladimeji, speaking on behalf of the electoral committee, urged the executives to urgently constitute a committee to produce a working constitution for the forum and establish a Board of Trustees (BOT) to manage the affairs of the members effectively.

Other members of the electoral committee include: Dr. Adejumo Adegboyega Idowu,
Dr. Samuel Adekalu,
Mr. Osijirin Adesegun and Mrs. Olulode Olawunmi.

In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman, Mr. Adekunle Adeoye Solomon, expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in the team and promised to protect and promote the interests of the forum’s members while strengthening the bond of unity for progress. He also appealed for maximum support and cooperation from the members.

Dr. Afolarin Olawale Atere, the Vice Chairman, closed the ceremony with a prayer, asking for God’s protection and wisdom for the executives to successfully steer the affairs of the forum.

The inauguration of the Pioneer Executives marks a new beginning for the Oodua Progressives Forum of FUAHSE Enugu, with a renewed commitment to unity and progress for its members.
