The State Security Adviser to Kogi State Government, Commander Duro Jerry Omodara (rtd), warmly felicitates with Christians in the State, country, and world over the occasion of Christmas.
He recalls that Christmas signifies the birth of Jesus Christ who Himself is an embodiment of sacrificial love, saying it also calls for increased prayers to God to put an end to all the security, economic, and other pockets of challenges affecting the country.
In a goodwill message signed by his Spokesperson, Charles Olukunle, Commander Omodara enjoins Christians to continually spread the love of Christ with family, friends, neighbors, and the underprivileged in the society whilst utilizing the festive period to pray for sustainable peace, unity, and prosperity in the nation.
He further expressed joy that citizens of the confluence state are able to witness yet another Christmas period, noting that despite several hurdles faced individually and collectively, God Almighty has ceaselessly shown His boundless mercy and love to mankind.
Jerry Omodara, however, encouraged citizens to go about their celebrations peacefully without any fear as the state had put modalities in place to guarantee citizens safety before, during and after the holiday period, cautioning those with evil intentions to desist from such as Kogi State was no ground for any form of criminality.
