My attention has been drawn to a false and malicious publication from one Kogi Report news blog on the 8-01-2025 by one Ilugbemi Jerome titled “Kabba/Bunu Legislative: Move To Relocate Kabba Friday Market To Zango, A Farce, Security Threat To Our People”, on relocation of Kabba central market Friday activities to Zango,
It was stated in the false publication that the Councillor representing Asuta Ward was the brain behind the sponsored bill.
I want to state it clearly that since my assumption as a legislature representing the good people of Asuta Ward, I have never sponsor any bill. Am using this medium to urge the general public to disregard such malicious news and I distance my humble self from anything that have to do with the news.
While I condemned in totality the malicious and false publications from one of the journalists in Kogi state, I want to urged those in the media profession to always verify the fact and do more of investigative journalism than the copy and published which at the end becomes misleading and fake news.Thank you all
