GOV. ODODO COMMISSIONS BLOCK OF CLASSROOMS, BOREHOLE PROJECT IN OKE-OFFIN COMMUNITY

….Reaffirms commitment at reconstructing Kabba/Oke-Offin/Olle/Iluke road

In a significant step towards enhancing education in Bunuland, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has commissioned a renovated 2-blocks of classrooms and borehole project at Oke-Offin Bunu, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of the State. This initiative reflects his unwavering commitment to empowering communities through education and fostering a brighter future for younger generation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kogi Security Adviser, Jerry Omodara who represented the Governor, highlighted the critical role of education in shaping the future of society. He reaffirmed the Governor’s dedication to providing children with conducive environment for learning and personal growth.

He urged the people of Oke-Offin Bunu to continue to be peace loving and law abiding, explained that the borehole project and classrooms renovation which was previously in a terrible state has alleviated the plight of its teeming users.

The Governor assured that he will continue to work harder to deliver more dividends of good governance in the State, noting, “What I am doing here today is to say thank you for believing in us and supporting us and standing by us. The little we can do is to make your life better.”

However, Jerry Omorara in his separate remarks as son of the beneficiary community, thanked Governor Ododo for all his developmental efforts in Kogi State, and particularly in Bunuland. While expressing the support of Oke-Offin community, Jerry Omorara assured that Gov. Ododo will reconstruct the Kabba/Oke-Offin/Olle/Iluke road.

Earlier in his remarks, the General Manager of the Kogi State Social Development Agency, Alhaji (Chief) Daudu J. Momoh, poured encomiums on the personality of Commander Jerry Omodara, praising him for his developmental strides in the state. The General Manager, also noted that the Governor has mandated the agency to turn communities into cities, and that they won’t disappoint him.

He said over 80 communities were provided various amenities in 2024 across the state and the Agency will do more this year. He assured of Governor Ododo efforts to make life better for the people of Kogi State.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Hon. (Mrs) Ifedunni Olumeyan – Kabba/Bunu Vice-chairman, Mr Matthew Ogunsanmi – Chairman Olle/Oke-Offin Ward, Hon Moses Baiyeshea – Councilor Ayetoro Kiri Ward, Hon. Foluke Ayinmode – Councilor Olle/Oke-Offin Ward, amongst other APC stalwarts.
