The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Durosinmi Meseko has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) Act into law.
Meseko, in a statement released today, hailed the move as a “monumental step” towards fostering development in the region. He emphasized the importance of the NCDC in addressing the unique challenges faced by the North Central, including poverty, unemployment, and infrastructure deficit.
“This is a victory for the people of the North Central,” Meseko said. “We are confident that the NCDC will be instrumental in bringing about much-needed development and improving the lives of our people.”
The NCDC Act, which was passed by the National Assembly recently, aims to promote sustainable development in the North Central region through the provision of funds for infrastructure, education, healthcare, and other essential services.
The APC, under Tinubu’s leadership, has consistently emphasized its commitment to equitable development across the country. The establishment of the NCDC is seen as a testament to this commitment and a positive step towards addressing regional disparities.
The Deputy National Publicity Scribe has expressed his hope that the NCDC will work closely with the government and local communities to ensure the effective implementation of its mandate and deliver tangible benefits to the people of the North Central region.
