In 2024, God sent a man: a beacon of hope, a reformer, a liberator, a jinx breaker, and a visionary Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael.
He came with a simple but powerful message: “Restoration, help is on the way.” And indeed, he brought help to Kabba/Bunu LGA. From the moment he assumed office, the long season of infrastructural decadence ended.
In just one year, Zacchaeus has redefined governance, setting a new standard that challenges everything once thought impossible in public service. As he rightly said, “We must remove from political campaigns the things that are supposed to be normal rights good healthcare, security. These are not favours. These are entitlements.” And he has walked that talk with unmatched passion and integrity.
With vision, strategic planning, and a results-driven approach, Zacchaeus has sparked an infrastructural revolution that touches every part of the local government area. From cities to rural communities, the progress is tangible.
Among the strategic projects is the Security Base for local hunters located adjacent Kogi State University, Kabba set for commissioning by Governor Usman Ododo.
Driving beyond infrastructure, Zacchaeus’s investment in human capital development is equally transformational.
Taking a bold step in redefining youth empowerment, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael gave appointment to over 39 youths in Kabba/Bunu LGA.
The health sector has experienced a similar rebirth. Under Project Restoration, over 7 Primary Healthcare Centres are being renovated and re-equipped.
Security, a top priority from day one, has drastically improved. His administration launched Operation Smoke Them Out, a multi-agency security outfit. The government deployed patrol vehicles, surveillance equipment, and strengthened community policing.
