Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo has appointed Prof. Salisu Usman Ogbo as Vice Chancellor, Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba.
Similarly, the Governor also approved the appointment of Dr. Salihu Sanusi Avidime as the new Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, the appointment followed the expiration of the Tenures of the former Vice Chancellor, Prof. Marietu Tenuche
Until his appointment, Prof. Ogbo was the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, a position he served meritoriously, restoring the lost glory of the Institution with improved academic standards.
Prof. Ogbo, a Professor of Political Economy and Development is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of his new assignment.
The Governor while appreciating the outgoing Vice Chancellor for her remarkable achievements and service to the State, congratulated the New Vice Chancellor on his appointment, urging him to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor.
Meanwhile, the Governor has approved the appointment of Dr. Salihu Sanusi Avidime as the new Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic.
Dr. Salihu Sanusi Avidime is an experienced Nigerian scholar in Political Science, holding a B.Sc. (Hons) from Usmanu Dan Fodio University; a Master in Public Policy and Administration from Bayero University Kano; an MSc in Public Finance from the University of Calabar; and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba.
The Governor congratulated the New Polytechnic Rector on his appointment and urged him to justify the confidence reposed in him.
